Day of Action at the Colorado State Capitol for the Justice Engaged Student Bill of Rights (HB 24-1216)
Join us this Monday at the State Capitol!
Supporters of HB 24-1216, including justice engaged students and their families, co-sponsors Senator James Coleman and Representative Jennifer Bacon, and leaders of Generation Schools Network, will gather on the west steps of the State Capitol for a press conference from 1-2 pm. Afterwards, attendees will have time to meet with Colorado legislators to talk about the importance of this bill and how to pass this bill during this legislative session.

👉 Join us at the Colorado State Capitol on March 7th, 2024 at 1pm in Room 0107 to support HB 24-1216 which provides personal and academic support for youth who have been involved with the judicial system to continue their education. Let’s pack the room!

The GSN team will be attending the 2024 CADCA conference this month in support of a new bill making educational attainment for justice-engaged students a reality. This event includes a visit to congress on January 31st and meetings with senators Hickenlooper and Bennet and congresswoman deGette.
